An Abundance Of Places To Eat & Drink
Turkish Food & Drink
If there’s one thing Turkey is famous for it’s its cuisine! Rich in flavour with savoury, lightly spiced dishes being the favourite amongst the Turkish people you can be assured that wherever you choose to eat you’re in for a treat.
With a heavy use of vegetables in most traditional Turkish dishes the country’s cuisine is a vegetarians dream but other than pork (for obvious reason) there are plenty of dishes that have lamb and mutton at the centre with beef, chicken and seafood completing most menus in the majority of restaurants. Needless to say you’ll never struggle for a place to dine during your stay!
A Few Recommendations
We’ve been coming to Turkey for over 20 years and have eaten at many places so as you can imagine we have our favourites, with so many options we can recommend a few.
Firstly, we love a good English breakfast, you might imagine that it’s difficult to get a traditional English breakfast as pork shouldn’t be on the menu in many places. But don’t despair, because the breakfasts in turkey are fantastic nonetheless and actually most places cater for the pork eating westerners! A few places we frequently visit are Mirage, Kings Arms, Lemon Tree & Delboys, all offer fantastic breakfasts & lunch options!
For a fantastic evening meal we would highly recommend Barracuda, Hidden Gem , Aubergine, Sun Trap and if you like Chinese then Dragonaro is a must.
For a beer or cocktail we always go to the Ramos Hotel, the atmosphere is great and they always have the live football matches on. For us the Ramos is exactly our speed but there’s a bar for everyone so whether you like to take it easy or you like a faster pace you’ll find a place that suite you!
Where To Eat?
Whether you choose to eat in or eat out there’s no end to the choices available, the local supermarkets offer everything you could need if you fancy a home cooked meal that only moma can make. Alternatively there are 100’s of restaurants within 20 minutes of the villa (walk or taxi), we’ve listed our favourites here but you won’t go far wrong if you choose to explore for yourself.
